Here is a link to my April Newsletter – just posted – covering the most recent home sale activity for our area and also what you need to know about real estate taxes.
Connecticut property taxes are continually changing due to assessment adjustments as well as changing mill rates. It is possible for your home to be “over assessed” which means your tax payments are higher than they should be. A lower assessment will mean lower tax payments, but can sometimes be a disadvantage when trying to sell your home. To understand how your tax payments relate to your home value, contact me anytime for a brief consultation.
